All About Me!








My name is Sherida Richards-Malcolm, and I am a Jamaican.  I was born on the 3rd of December. I am a graduate of the Northern Caribbean University, where I pursued my Bachelors of Art in  Primary Education, with a minor in Literacy Studies in 2013.  Also, the Sam Sharpe Teachers College pursued my Diploma in Primary Education, advancing Reading in 2008. I have been a teacher since 2008 and a principal since 2017. I am the mother of 3 fantastic children: Anastasia, age 25, Demetry, 20 and Khalil, 2 1/2 years, respectively. My hobbies include reading, surfing the web, travelling, meet people and singing.

Professionally, I am a transformational leader whose dedication to service is driven by my passion for success. I firmly believe in the exertion of self beyond the call of duty to achieve my goals, dreams and aspirations. My charismatic disposition always works in my favour with my students, colleagues, and the wider society. I am enthusiastic with a knack for making learning exciting and enjoyable, motivated by the belief that all children can succeed. 


I am the recipient of the Carlong Publishers Teachers’Award, 2017. In addition, in 2015 and 2017, I received the Jamaica Teaching Council Excellent Teacher Awards.
